Great Stuff as always! I can’t wait to read more. And reconsider the last five relationships I’ve had.

Wow… I’ve been suffering with this syndrome for years, and nobody’s articulated it before so clearly. Thank you for the insight, and the free therapy. This “imagining that some day ‘the right one’ is going to magically appear” is my character flaw, and explains why I’m still a bachelor. My cat still loves me, though.

Lars and the real girl isn’t about ryan gosling it’s about his character Lars who is delusional and falls for sex doll which is very different to mannequin in the sense that one is actually designed to give pleasure thus contributing to Lars dellusions. The actual premis isn’t crappy at all. If you read the actual premiss and think about it, it works great a character piece. Granted it’s inherently funny given the scenario but that’s not a problem. Not all character pieces have to be super serious all the time. A serious man is a perfect example.

This is great. I have this exact problem. Thank you so much. I do think the original premise of Lars feels kinda lame but the movie is really great.
