Meets One Sunday Per Month;

Prerequisites: Write Your Screenplay, Write Your TV Series or Permission of Instructor
Taught by Studio Founder, Jacob Krueger, The Master Class is a film-school level program that fits your real world life.
One Sunday, every month, you’ll come together with a group of writers as dedicated as you are, to push the limits of your art and your craft as a writer under Jacob’s guidance.
The format of The Master Class grows directly out of the students in it. Each class is a six-hour deep dive into an aspect of Screenwriting or TV Writing, drawn from the topics that you want to explore.
From the intricacies of 7 Act Structure, to the intuitive art of Meditative Writing, to the nuts and bolts of how to build your career, The Master Class will guide you to discover who you really are, and who you can be, as a writer.

Answers to Common Questions
Each session begins with a question and answer period, during which you can discuss literally any aspect of writing with Jacob. You’ll get answers to all your pressing concerns, and the most profound questions will be chosen for even deeper exploration in future sessions.
You’ll then proceed to a full day deep dive into one of these topics, with each class focused on one aspect of Screenwriting or TV Writing. You’ll experience mind-opening explorations, deep discussions, incisive feedback and extensive writing exercises, to assure you not only master each skill intellectually, but also get it into your bones through practice.
Best of all, you’ll know the topics you’re exploring are relevant to you, because they all are chosen directly from the questions you and your fellow writers ask.
All topics covered in the Master Class grow directly out of the needs, requests, goals and obstacles of the students in it. But here is a brief description of the kinds of topics that will be covered.

The Master Class generally meets the first Sunday of each month, from 12-6pm ET / 9am-3pm PT, with some exceptions (usually for holidays). Here’s the full class calendar. (note–sessions more than 4 months in the future are subject to change).
The Master Class is designed for writers who are serious about developing their art and craft to a professional level. While primarily focused on Screenwriting & TV Writing, it is also valuable for playwrights, novelists and memoirists who wish to deepen their understanding of dramatic writing.
Most of our writers choose The Master Class as their next step after completing Write Your Screenplay or Write Your TV Series. This is the fastest way to blow the lid off of your writing, with a deep exploration each month of a new technique you can apply to your art, craft, structure or career.
As you grow in the program, it’s likely you will want to integrate ProTrack or a Workshop into your Master Class.
Protrack: is our one-on-one mentorship program, which pairs you with a professional writer, with whom you’ll meet every week or every other week as you develop your library of scripts and emerge into your professional career. Your ProTrack mentor will read every page you wish to share, and give you direct feedback and mentorship on every draft of each script you write.
The Workshop: is a group version of ProTrack, for writers who prefer to learn in an intimate group of 8 carefully matched writers, under the guidance of a professional screenwriter. The class meets twice a month, pages are read aloud, and each writer gets feedback not only from their mentor but also from the group.
All three programs can be taken independently, or they can be taken together to create a grad school level program (at a tiny fraction of the cost, and at a pace that fits your real world life).
If you have questions about which is the best place to start for you, or how to best combine the programs to achieve your goals, please schedule a free consultation with our Admissions Director LINK, and we’ll be happy to discuss your goals and your writing, and help you design a personalized program that fits your needs.
Yes, in fact, we highly recommend it. You can think of The Master Class as the place you go to learn, explore and practice the concepts, like you would in film school, and The Workshop or ProTrack as the places you go to get direct, personalized feedback on your writing and how you’re executing the ideas you learn– like having the best industry notes meeting of your life every week or every other week as you develop your script!
The goal of The Master Class is to give you a lifetime of mentorship, at a cost that you can afford. To make this easy for writers of all economic backgrounds, we offer interest free payment plans, allowing you to make an initial one-month deposit, and then pay for the class each month, rather than having to pay in advance.
To allow the group to have continuity and grow together, we ask for a minimum commitment of 6 sessions. Or you can commit to 12 sessions and save $100 per month– which we highly recommend, because, quite frankly, nobody ever leaves these classes!
After your initial commitment, you can stay in the class for as long as you’d like on a month to month basis. If you ever wish to leave, just give us a call or shoot us an email with 30 days notice, and we’ll apply your deposit toward your final session and withdraw you from the class.
As with all our classes, if you attend your first session of The Master Class and find it’s anything less than exactly what you’re looking for, just let us know, and we’ll happily let you out of your commitment, and refund every penny you spent. Please note that our classes sell out quickly, therefore we cannot refund for no-shows, and that we must receive your request within one week of your first session in order to provide a refund. That said, we’re nice people and we want you to get what you need, so if you ever have any concerns at any point during the program, just let us know, and we’ll do everything we can to make it right.
Writing classes are about trust, community, and real-time give and take between student and teacher, so we’ve designed our zoom classes to give our online students the same personalized experience you’d have in an in-person setting. Our LIVE two-way video stream allows you to see, hear, and fully participate. You can ask questions, (or chat them in if you’re more of the quiet type!) and get them answered instantly. Plus, we keep video-on-demand replays of every session online for a full month after the class ends, so you can watch and rewatch them on your own time and your own schedule. All you need is a computer and a high speed internet connection.
As with all courses at Jacob Krueger Studio, you never have to worry about missing a class, no matter how busy your schedule. You’ll have access to unlimited video replays for a full month after the class ends, so you can watch and rewatch anytime, from anywhere in the world, and use these techniques every time you sit down to write.
Even if you’re an experienced writer, we highly recommend that you complete Write Your Screenplay or Write Your TV Series before enrolling in the Master Class. We teach an organic approach to Screenwriting and TV Writing that you won’t experience at most schools, and these classes will assure that you have a strong foundation in the way we approach writing. Exceptions will be considered on a case by case basis. If you need one, please schedule an appointment with our Admissions Director.
