‘Tis The Season of Giving! So, we’re giving you a creative jolt with a video of one of our favorite Meditative Writing exercises.
Visualize your life as a restaurant. Imagine a vast room of tables and chairs where everyone you’ve ever interacted with exists. The room could be filled with family, friends, future friends, teachers, baristas, musicians, etc. The point is, it’s full.
Now, envision one table in this room with six seats, including the one you are sitting at. Truthfully consider who, at this moment in your life, is sitting at that table with you. Who are those five people who have the most impact on your life right now?
Allow yourself to look at these people who are sitting next to you and across from you at your table and consider this: are these the five people or things you want at your table? Are these the people or things that you want affecting your mood or affecting the way you feel about your writing?
It’s time to take a deep breath and let this 8 Minute Meditative Writing Exercise help you pin point the people and things that should be at your table. You’ll be amazed by how this exercise can positively affect your mood and provide inspiration at any moment.
