1. So what’s the catch?
There’s no catch! The Jacob Krueger Studio is a full-service educational facility for writers, which means we’re constantly looking for new ways to reach those who need our services most. This is just one way of doing it.

2. How do I know you won’t steal my idea?
We handle hundreds of scripts a day, and pride ourselves on our commitment to confidentiality. We guarantee you that no one besides your script advisor will read your pages, and that they’ll be destroyed after your talk.

3. Who is this person calling me about my pages?
Our Script Advisors are paid employees who work in our Admissions Department, and are specifically trained to review these pages with a skeptical eye. They know our services best, and will come at you with less criticism than a coverage reader might. They only want to tell you how we can help you with what you need help with.

4. Is this person going to try to sell me something?
Only if you want to buy something. We’re a business, but we practice a soft sell approach.

5. What kind of stuff do you do at this Jacob Krueger Studio?
We provide two main services here: classes and workshops for writers, and one-on-one consultations. There’s very little you can throw at us that we haven’t seen before, and even less we’re not equipped to help with.

6. Can you help my movie get made?
Despite the “studio” in our name, we’re not in the business of producing your scripts. We’re in the business of arming you with the knowledge necessary to get your movie produced yourself.

7. I don’t know how to turn my pages in to a PDF. Is a Word Doc or FDX file okay?
Of course. Just be sure to bring this up when we give you a call. You really ought to know how to turn a script into a PDF, and we’d be happy to help!

8. Will you call me on a Saturday?
We’re closed on the weekends! But we’ll give you a call first chance we get on Monday.
